Our children and elders benefit from
an innovative intergenerational program, designed to enrich the lives of those living with memory loss, while teaching children about diversity, empathy, and understanding through planned interactions and activities. This dynamic environment not only improves the quality of life of our elders and children, but their families and the greater community as well.
The concept of Generations came from a desire to find a nurturing environment for Shelby, the grandmother of the founder of Generations. Shelby suffered from worsening dementia for years until eventually, her family needed to seek out specialized memory care.
Shelby adored children, with every interaction bringing a smile to her face. After exploring the benefits of programs that had successfully incorporated children into the lives of elders on a frequent basis, the concept of Generations was born. Our focus was to design a unique memory care setting, that could include daily interaction with children as an integral part of our social programming. Through this interaction, we strive to improve the lives of each elder (and child) who is entrusted to our care, whether through a shared activity, a hug, or even just a smile.
Welcome to Generations Child and Memory Care.
For our elders, we provide a safe living atmosphere that has a small, home-like setting. We offer single and double occupancy rooms (for spouses), a dining area with abundant natural light and neighborhood kitchenettes, comfortable living space and a vibrant, secured outdoor area.
For our children, we have three, vibrant, children-centered classrooms divided into infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
